Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Month of October
As the month of October is recognised in many countries worldwide as a month for remembrance for little ones who left this world too soon, I too would like to recognise this month as it is also the month that our little family experienced the loss of our first pregnancy ten years ago now. It is never an easy time and the loss will always be felt.
I painted this picture with these feelings in mind. In celtic lore white butterflies symbolised the spirits of children and babies, no matter how small, that left this world too soon. And this painting is about stopping for a moment to feel that connection with them again.
I would like to offer this image as a free download here to anyone who would like to have it as a gentle reminder of their loved one who is no longer with them. It was a very small painting originally so is scanned in at original size. If you have any problems please contact me and I will try to help.
The original print of the painting has been reduced to €20 for the month of October. This includes postage to anywhere in the world. The print is made using archival quality inks and is printed on museum grade paper. It comes framed in mounting card details can be found here.
